Description: New terminal building with 87,000 m² closed area, consists of 6 bridges, car parking area with 1038 car capacity, treatment facility, and a heat power station. Terminal building started operating in December 2015, enables 10 planes to board and land passengers within an hour, including 6 through gangways. 100 flights can be organized daily with 50 arrivals and 50 departures. Due to capacity insufficiency, the terminal could only serve international flights at the times of hajj and umrah. With this new terminal building, multiple international flights to Europe and neighboring countries are being actualized. Building has capacity of 10 thousand passengers per day and 5 million passengers per year. Diyarbakır Airport is unique in East and Southeast Anatolia with its gangways. Airport has valuable contribution to trade and tourism of the region.
